$260,000 ALTERNATION First Crop 2YO at OBS April
In the opening session of the four-day OBS Spring Sale of 2YOs in Training, a filly from the first crop of Graded stakes-winning millionaire ALTERNATION brought a final price of $260,000 from Art Sherman, agent. Bred in Kentucky by Justice Farm & Greg Justice, hip 167 is out of the stakes-placed producing mare Best Practices, by Tough Knight, and was consigned by Envision Equine, agent. The February 3rd foal worked a sharp 1/4-mile in :20 4/5, the co-second fastest time at the distance on the first day of the under-tack show.
Other highlights from the OBS April sale include a $100,000 colt, hip 699, bred by David Purvis & James Purvis out of Lime Lady, by Limehouse, who went to Michael Langford, and a $75,000 colt, hip 744, bred by Sally J. Andersen out of the stakes-placed Maria’s Mon mare, Maria’s Dance, who was purchased by Jeffrey Bloom, agent. Overall, ALTERNATION had six juveniles sell from eight offered for a $85,167 average.
