$675,000 for ALTER MOON, Second-Highest Price at F-T HRA Sale

ALTER MOON, a 3-year-old filly from the first crop of ALTERNATION, brought a final bid of $675,000 from Steve Young, agent, making her the second-highest priced individual at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. She was coming off a five-length win in Gulfstream Park’s Azalea S. (pictured) on June 30th. In the race prior to the Azalea, ALTER MOON was a 14 3/4-length winner in a 6 1/2-furlong allowance at Gulfstream. “She’s a lightly raced young filly with a lot of ability that is coming into her own and she’s going to go to New York and we will see how good she is,” said Young.

Also with Pin Oak stallion connections at the Fasig-Tipton sale was the $700,000 sales topper, My Miss Tapit. She is by Tapit out of the BROKEN VOW mare, SINDY WITH AN S, who won or placed in seven of nine career starts, with four wins, including the G3 Safely Kept Breeders’ Cup S., and earned $330,959.
