BROKEN BRIDLE Places in $100,000 Dahlia S. After Long Layoff

Coming off an eight-month layoff, BROKEN BRIDLE rallied from more than seven lengths back to place in the $100,000 Dahlia S. at Laurel Park. The 5-year-old mare by BROKEN VOW was last seen here in August of last year winning an allowance on a yielding turf course by 4 1/2 lengths. Making only her second stakes start, BROKEN BRIDLE raced wide most of the trip, including around the far turn and into the stretch, and continued to finish with good effort. She was only beaten 1 1/4 lengths by a previous stakes winner and multiple GSW/multiple G1P earner of $859,739, Hawksmoor (IRE), but finished ahead of a multiple SW/GSP runner. Lifetime record: 16-3-5-4, $146,315. O-Gary Capuano & Paul L. Fowler, Jr. B-Herman Sarkowsky. T-Gary Capuano.
