BROKEN VOW 3YOs Sweep Gulfstream Park Stakes

VOW TO RECOVER won her second career stakes taking the Honey Ryder S. (pictured) by 2 3/4 lengths. The 3-year-old filly broke from post nine in this 12-horse field to race along the inside early about midpack. She began her rally on the far turn still inside, had plenty left to charge through the opening along the rail, then quickly took the lead and drove to the wire in a sharp effort racing 1 1/16 miles on the turf. Last year VOW TO RECOVER won the Juvenile Fillies Turf S. in her third  start after taking a Maiden Special Weight. Lifetime record: 8-3-1-2-, $156,475. O-Imaginary Stables and Paul Braverman. B-Rustlewood Farm, Inc. T-Elizabeth Dobles.

VOW ME NOW remains undefeated in four starts this year after battling to the wire to win the English Channel S. by a nose. The 3-year-old colt raced just behind the top two down the backstretch in a field of nine and along the inside until angling out turning for home. He split horses in the stretch to challenge for the lead, then battled to the wire to earn the victory racing 1 1/16 miles on the turf. VOW ME NOW was coming off a one-length allowance win going about 7 1/2 furlongs on the turf here in which his final time was just a 1/2 second off the course record set earlier this year by Hembree, a G2 SW on the turf at Woodbine last year. Lifetime record: 10-5-0-1, $138,508. O-David Melin, Leon Ellman, and Laurie Plesa. B-Pat Pavish. T-Edward Plesa, Jr.
