BROKEN VOW Mare Represented by A$900,000 Yearling in Australian Sale
ROSES ‘N’ WINE, a stakes-winning, Canadian Classic-placed daughter of BROKEN VOW, has become quite the producer in Australia. Her fourth foal, a colt by the highly regarded sire Snitzel brought a final bid of A$900,000 on the first day of the 2016 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale. Her first foal, Hampton Court (AUS), by Redoute’s Choice, won the ATC Spring Champion S.-G1 in record time and has shuttled from Australia to stand the 2016 breeding season in Kentucky.
BROKEN VOW is also the sire of the 9-year-old BELLA JOLIE, dam of 2015 Champion Male Sprinter Runhappy. The now 4-year-old colt won three G1 stakes, including the TwinSpires Breeders’ Cup Sprint-G1 at Keeneland in track record time. BELLA JOLIE sold for $1.6 million at the 2015 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
