BROKEN VOW’s MENDED Holds 2017’s Longest Win Streak

After winning the $110,000 Claiming Crown Glass Slipper S. at Gulfstream Park by 6 3/4 lengths, her 10th victory in a row, MENDED was proclaimed to hold the country’s longest winning streak of 2017. The 4-year-old filly by BROKEN VOW has racked up career earnings of $231,690, of which $186,620 she earned in 2017. Her wins have been on dirt, turf and all-weather, and she has chalked up victories at Del Mar, Golden Gate Fields, Oak Tree at Pleasanton, and now Gulfstream. To win the Glass Slipper, MENDED had to ship across the country from her Golden Gate home base. The $45,000 weanling purchase out of the 2013 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale started her racing career at 2 taking a one mile Maiden test at Del Mar by 3 1/4 lengths in her third start.
