G’S TURN Puts Up Back-to-Back Allowance Victories

Multiple Blacktype-placed G’S TURN won his second in a row after taking a one mile allowance on the main track at Lone Star Park by 1 1/2 lengths. The 3-year-old colt by ALTERNATION settled in fourth around the first turn and into the backstretch. But by the time they reached the far turn, he had seized the lead and opened up a two–length advantage around the bend. G’S TURN was pressured through the stretch but turned back all challengers to get the victory. This was his third win of the year, all at different tracks, including a 6 1/2-length Maiden Special Weight tally to kick off his 3-year-old campaign (pictured). G’S TURN was a fast-closing runner-up in the $75,000 El Joven S. as a juvenile last year and also finished runner-up in the Fair Grounds’ Black Gold Overnight S. in March, both on turf. Lifetime record: 13-3-3-2, $90,925. O-Tom Galvin. B-Ed Few. T-Patricia West.
