2YO LADY ALLY Just Misses in $100,000 City of Anderson

Coming off a 3 3/4-length debut Maiden Special Weight win, LADY ALLY fought to the bitter end to finish runner-up, only a head back, in the $100,000 City of Anderson S. The 2-year-old filly from the third crop of ALTERNATION broke from post eight in this 12-horse field, only to be squeezed between two rivals to cause her to drop back early. She gathered herself and began to get closer to the leaders heading into the turn. She continued her momentum around the turn to vie for the lead at the top of the lane. LADY ALLY battled turning back one foe in upper stretch, then another with a sixteenth to go, but just got caught at the wire racing six furlongs at Indiana Grand. Lifetime record: 2-1-1-0, $39,497.
