3YO TONE BROKE Takes Runner-up Spot in Pimlico’s Sir Barton

Making his first start since returning from Dubai, TONE BROKE angled three wide turning for home and finished runner-up in the 1 1/16-mile Sir Barton S. on the Preakness S. undercard, more than four lengths in front of the third-place runner. The 3-year-old colt by BROKEN VOW was a 15 1/4-length Maiden Special Weight winner at two in a one-mile off-the-turf race in his third career start.  In his last start as a juvenile, after back-to-back wins, TONE BROKE finished just three lengths back in fourth to Rebel S.-G2 winner Long Range Toddy in the $400,000 Remington Springboard Mile S.
