BROKEN VOW With Two $450,000 Fillies, Co-Second Highest at FT Florida 2YO Sale
At this year’s Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training, two fillies sold for $450,000, the co-second highest priced fillies of the sale. Hip 88, an April 12th foal out of the stakes-winning/graded-placed mare Stellar, by Grand Slam, was bred by Dr. Steve Jackson and Tony Holmes and consigned to the sale by Wavertree Stables Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), agent. The filly, who worked :10 2/5, was purchased by Peter Fluor and K.C. Weiner’s Speedway Stables. Hip 142, a February 8th foal out of the Tale of the Cat mare, Chaotic Cat, was bred by Bluewater Sales and Mike Carpenter. Consigned by Eddie Woods, agent, the filly worked :10 1/5, the second fastest time of the day, and was purchased by Jason Litt.
