IMPRIMIS Makes Impressive Return in Gulfstream’s Silks Run S.

IMPRIMIS kicked off his seasonal debut running a 109 Beyer to win Gulfstream Park’s Silks Run S. by 3 1/4 lengths. Now six wins in eight career starts, the son of BROKEN VOW tracked the front two early in this five-furlong turf sprint. Swinging three wide turning for home, IMPRIMIS took over the lead effortlessly with a furlong to go and drew away in hand in a final blistering time of :54.64. Last year he won his first four starts, including a 5 1/4-length win in the Jim McKay Turf Sprint S. with a 103 Beyer on an extremely soft course at Pimlico. He also took Monmouth’s Wolf Hill S. on the Haskell Invitational undercard. Lifetime record: 8-6-0-0, $262,338. O-Breeze Easy, LLC. B-Craig L. Wheeler. T-Joe Orseno.
