Two New Maiden Special Winners

WHISTLIN’ DIXIE, a 2-year-old filly by ALTERNATION, dueled with another for the first part of the race, then quickly disposed of that challenger and drew away under mild urging to win a 5 1/2-furlong open Maiden Special Weight by seven lengths at Indiana Grand. UNDISPUTED JUSTICE disputed the top position until midway around the far turn, then began to pull away from the field and was ridden out geared down at the end to take this one mile & 70 yards Maiden Special Weight by a comfortable 3 1/2 lengths, also at Indiana Grand. HOT N SWEET, another 4-year-old filly by ALTERNATION, finished runner-up, nearly 11 lengths in front of the third-place finisher.
