Two New Stakes Winners for BROKEN VOW
CAN’T BE WRONG made it three in a row after closing with a rush to go by the front runner and win the blacktype Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame S. by 1 1/2 lengths. The 3-year-old son of BROKEN VOW was still 10 lengths back after the first half of this 1 1/16-mile turf event at Retama, but charged down the stretch to overhaul the leader in the final 1/16th and get the victory. CAN’T BE WRONG was coming off a nearly seven-length allowance win here two weeks ago, and also was a 9 1/4-length Maiden Special Weight winner on the dirt at Lone Star in July. Also, EMERGING TALENT (ARG) won his third straight after taking the blacktype Jockey Club de Venezuela at La Plata. This 4-year-old colt also finished on the board in the G2 Polla de Potrillos de La Plata in August of 2015 following his five-length maiden win. His dam Truth Seeking, by Seeking the Gold, was purchased out of the 2010 Keeneland November Sale.
