Bayou Pharoah looks and acts exactly like his Triple Crown-winning sire, American Pharoah. He is an absolute puppy dog in the stall and will beg for attention. You can even curl up and nap with him in his stall!
This handsome 4-year-old bay gelding is a light-framed, kind-hearted Thoroughbred with a quiet, easygoing personality and a love for attention. He has excellent ground manners, stands quietly for the farrier and veterinarian, cross-ties well, and is an overall pleasure to have in the barn.
Under saddle, he confidently walks, trots, and canters, and is developing green lead changes. He has been introduced to small jumps and shows a natural aptitude for the hunter ring, with beautiful movement and an eye-catching way of going. He moves well off the leg and continues to progress with consistent training.
As a young Thoroughbred, he is best suited for a rider with experience bringing along green horses. He is sensitive to his rider’s energy and thrives with a confident, quiet partner who can continue his education.
With his willing attitude, athletic ability, and exceptional movement, this gelding has all the ingredients to become an outstanding hunter or all-around partner. He has a bright future ahead and is ready for someone to make him their own.
He will be priced affordably. His adoption fee will be donated to the Thoroughbred Retirement Network of Louisiana.
We love our horses and want to ensure that they are going to the best possible home, so we appreciate you taking the time to fill out an adoption application. The application can be completed online or downloaded and emailed to brynna@bernhardgroup.com.
