Record Time Soars on Debut

Record Time, a 2-year-old colt by Not This Time, made his career debut in a maiden special weight at Presque Isle Downs on Thursday afternoon for trainer Michael Stidham. He broke sharply and went right to the front to control the pace. The bay colt was given the perfect ride by jockey Pablo Morales and went wire to wire, clearing from the rest of the field in the closing stages to win by 3 3/4 lengths.

Bred by Eureka Thoroughbred Farm, Record Time is the first foal out of Diva’s Rule (by Roman Ruler), a winner of 8 races from 31 starts and $262,535 in earnings. Her biggest win came in the Bob Barry Memorial S., a 7 1/2-furlong turf stakes, which she took by 4 lengths in gate-to-wire fashion.
