World Beater, a 3-year-old colt trained by Riley Mott, won the GI Saratoga Derby Invitational Stakes, marking Mott’s first graded stakes victory. The horse, previously second in the Belmont Derby, overtook Juwuelier late in the race.

Stars and Strides, a first-time starter, finished strong against seasoned competitors to win at 8-1. Rating mid-pack, he engaged in a fierce duel with race favorite Mainstream and emerged victorious by a head, demonstrating determination and skill. The third-place horse was 6 1/2 lengths behind.
